Bangladesh Navy will enter into a new era of technology by adding state of the art naval vassel platform and aircraft in it’s operational fleet . In 2011 BN established it’s own aviation wing by inducting two S&R helecopter and after some year BN induct teo MPA which enhance it’s operational capacity of maritime security. Now ones again to enhance BN S&R capacity more smooth BN ordered 2 new Dorniar DO228NG MPA with dedicated surveillance power .

The two new Dorniar which will joint BN within the next fiscal year come with state of art western surveillance radar . where the privious two Dorniar Do228 MPA come with one 360° Over the horizon radar which range is 120knt and a secondary SLAR ( Side Looking Airbone Radar) with 40knt range . On the other hand the new Dorniar MPA has more advance Seaspray 5000E Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) multi-mode surveillance radar . This radar provides an unrivalled surveillance capability as the primary sensor on airborne assets to meet the challenges of the 21st century. Seaspray 5000E is the lightest member of the family, which also comprises the Seaspray 7000E and Seaspray 7500E who’s Customers include the UK Royal Navy and the United States Coast Guard. Seaspray 5000E AESA radar comes with compact state-of-the-art AESA antenna to deliver a leading edge capability covering air-to-surface and air-to-air environments.Seaspray 5000E is installed in both fixed wing and rotary wing platforms . It’s excellent performance and reliability stems from its AESA architecture and use of digital waveforms to optimise performance in all modes .
